Belkin F5L001 Laptop Cooling Stand

The Belkin Laptop Cooling Stand prevents your laptop from overheating. The unique patented wave design uses natural convection to enhance fan cooling. This stand has low power consumption via your laptop’s USB port with no bulky power adapters.

User Ratings and Reviews

2 Stars Not so good for MacBook Pro
The Belkin Cooling Stand looks great, but is ineffective. For my MacBook Pro (an older one, which runs very hot), it hardly drops the temperature at all. Also, the fan is very noisy. The “leg” in back of the stand, to hold it up, is flimsy and sometimes falls down. Not something you want to happen when your valuable computer is on the stand. Another thing missing is a switch – so to turn it off (because of its noise) you have to pull the USB plug.

4 Stars Cooling Stand
It works well. The only con is that the laptop often slips off the stand due to the angle. If you don’t tilt the stand up, it doesn’t air out properly, if you do, it slides off.

4 Stars Spiffy device!
This thing is pretty cool — definitely gets the laptop up off of whatever surface you’re using (table, desk, lap, etc.) and definitely provides a constant rush of air to whisk away heat generated by your computer’s processor. The cooling mechanism is audible but not intrusive, and you can most assuredly feel the breeze as warm air is pushed out to the sides of the device. The added “tilt” is also a nice feature, because as for me, it puts the laptop into a slightly-improved position in terms of typing.

Recommended without hesitation!

3 Stars new fan is quiet; with time it gets noisy
Belkin F5L001 Laptop Cooling Stand

When you get it home from the store or out of the UPS box, it starts

right away, quiet as a mouse.

With time however, it gets nosier, like a coffee grinder. The fan

still turns, and it will cool your laptop, but wreck your nerves; at least

it did that to me.

1 Star Waste of Money
I didn’t buy it with my own money, though I think it’s still a waste when there are probably better fans out there. I got this as a birthday present, and it was my first fan for my laptop. I was glad, since I have a problem with my laptop overheating and then shutting down on me. This fan worked at first, and still does, but now, it makes a loud rattling noise when in use. The sound is nerve grating and my friends give me weird looks when it starts as if my laptop is about to explode, though it’s the fan. I’ve only had this for 2 months, and this problem has been ongoing after the first 3-4 weeks. I won’t be buying any more Belkin products any time soon.

Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 6400 Memory Module

Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 6400 Memory Module

200-pin SODIMMs are used to provide DDR and DDR2 SDRAM memory for notebook computers. A small outline dual inline memory module consists of a number of memory components that are attached to a printed circuit board. SODIMMs get their name because they are smaller and thinner than regular DIMMs. The gold pins on the bottom of the SODIMM provide a connection between the module and a socket on a larger printed circuit board. The pins on the front and back of a SODIMM are not connected.

User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star Doesn’t work with Samsung NC10
Caused continuous blue screen of death error upon start up on my NC-10. Buyer beware.

5 Stars easy upgrade for eee PC 1005HA
I bought this to upgrade RAM in my brand-new eee PC 1005HA. It wasn’t the same exact part number as Crucial Technology came up with when I checked compatibility on their website, but all the specs seemed the same, so I chanced it. It was easy to install, and everything is working fine, with twice the RAM at a very reasonable price.

5 Stars Really boosted performance on my Dell Studio 17!
I bought my computer a few months ago with 2gb of memory…which was enough at the time. I started doing a lot of video editing lately, and noticed a big of lag while using other programs.

I decided to upgrade to 4gb, and wow was it a good decision. The crucial memory modules came super fast (like everything I order from Amazon) they went in my computer even faster.

I immediately went in and checked my system status and noticed it said 4gb, just like I hoped lol. I started my Sony Vegas video editing software, and opened a 41gb wedding video I had been working on…not even a single hesitation!

I then opened the internet and resource killing Excel 07, both ran without a hitch and even while switching from application to application the computer continued to impress!

If your looking for a bit of help in the memory department on your PC, pick up a few of these crucial memory modules. You will notice a big difference!

4 Stars As advertised
Works as advertised. No problems. A bit pricier than the competition so 4 out of 5 stars.

5 Stars Exactly what you need
If this is the type of RAM your laptop requires, then i strongly suggest you purchase this fine product. I paid 400 dollars for this laptop at the local bigtime retail store and i ran like a 400 dollar laptop, but it was still very sufficient. Then i realized i could have 4 gigs if i bought another 2 gig stick. everywhere i went they were 60 dollars. This was only 25 and i got free shipping. it showed up earlier than i expected, and now my laptop runs like a 700 dollar laptop. popped in no problaymo and comes with a 1 year warranty. THIS IS WHAT YOU’RE LOOKING FOR. BUY IT AND STOP REVIEWING!
